“I don’t remember how I originally found Dave at Rustic Konocti, but I am so glad that I did! I was looking for a barn door for my home but I wanted something custom, using the wood that came from the interior of my house when it was remodeled. The boards were old, covered in various paints and patches of wallpaper, and I wasn’t sure what he would be able to do with them. What I ended up with is the most beautiful, original barn door that I absolutely love! Dave communicated via messenger throughout the process, confirming design, size and finish. He even built a stand to place in the back of our truck so we could safely transport the door home. (Actually it was 2 doors, we also had a second barn door built from Dave’s own supply of wood). About a year or so later, I had been searching for an entry table and was disappointed in the quality and prices I was finding online. I reached out to Dave with a picture of what I was looking for and asked if he thought he might be able to build it. His response was, “Of course I could make that.” And again, I have a totally custom piece of furniture that was crafted beautifully and looks amazing in my entry.
